Being trained in the full spectrum of conflict offers invaluable benefits that extend beyond self-defence. By understanding and practising techniques for a wide range of scenarios, individuals gain the confidence and skills to handle any situation that may arise.

From verbal de-escalation to physical self-defence, comprehensive training prepares individuals to respond effectively to various levels of threat. Moreover, learning how to recognise and avoid potential dangers through situational awareness helps prevent conflicts before they escalate.

InDefence adopts the policing use of force model in self-defence training as this offers numerous benefits that prioritise safety and responsibility.

This model, derived from law enforcement practices, provides a structured framework for assessing threats and responding proportionately. By following this model, individuals can make informed decisions in high-pressure situations, ensuring that force is applied only when necessary and to an appropriate degree.

This approach helps minimise potential harm to both the defender and the aggressor, promoting de-escalation and conflict resolution whenever possible. Emphasising the policing use of force model in self-defence training equips individuals with the tools to protect themselves effectively while upholding ethical and legal standards, fostering a safer and more responsible approach to personal safety.
