BENEFITS OF TRAINING KRAV MAGA IN THE WINTER

Over the last week the temperature has started dropped and although we are far from being in arctic conditions, it does make it less motivating to get to training in the cooler months.

Have a read below of some good reasons to stay off the couch and keep your training going….

1.  Training in the winter can be a great way to improve your physical fitness. Cold weather can be challenging and can make your body work harder to stay warm. This means that you can burn more calories and improve your cardiovascular endurance by training in the winter. Additionally, the cold weather can help reduce inflammation and soreness in your muscles, allowing you to recover more quickly between training sessions.

2. Training can also help improve your mental toughness. Cold weather can be uncomfortable and challenging, but pushing through these conditions can help you develop resilience and mental fortitude. This can translate into other areas of your life, such as work or personal relationships, where you may face difficult or uncomfortable situations.

3. Training can also help you prepare for real-life self-defence situations. In many cases, self defence situations occur in low-light or cold weather conditions, and training in these conditions can help you learn how to adapt your techniques to these scenarios. Additionally, training in the winter can help you learn how to defend against attackers who may be wearing bulky clothing or hiding their weapons in their layers (think hoodies etc).

From improving your physical fitness and mental toughness to preparing for real-life selfdefence situations, winter training can help you become a resilient and effective practitioner of Krav Maga.

So, if you are looking to start Krav Maga or already train with us, come along and push your skills to the next level.
